Over 20 years of experiencing mental illness and the stigma attached, ignited an idea from us to develop a unique concept, that we truly believe can take Mental Health Advocacy to the level it needs to be at.
Our goal is to spark a movement of Advocacy which will help to create environments of understanding and empathy. A stigma free society is key to allow ambition, productivity and creativity to flourish.
Da Silly Heads was created in 2018 on the back an envelope in a bid to create representations of our diagnosis and experiences through mental illness. Four Silly Heads represent Anxiety, Depression, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), and Bipolar disorder, with the fifth character, brain, representing us - individuals fighting back against Silly Heads. They not only tell our story in a very engaging way, but now carry the labels often attached to us as individuals living or experiencing a mental health condition.
Our advocacy apparel range is designed to give people an opportunity to visually advocate for mental health, within their communities and beyond.
